General commands
The commands in the General category are the ones your members use day to day: clocking in for a department, managing a gang roster, applying, requesting a role, linking their streaming channels, checking what they own, and checking the server's plan. See How commands work for the option table format and the permission model.
Every command on this page is open to all your members: the permission check is skipped for them. Each one still checks its own settings: /apply needs an open application, /suggest needs the suggestion system switched on, and /redeem refuses anyone who is not the server owner or a Discord Administrator.
#/apply
Apply for a position on this server.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
application | No | The application you want to fill out, chosen from autocomplete. Leave it out and FiveUnity opens the only open application, or shows a drop-down of them if there is more than one. |
If the server has no open applications, you get a private notice saying so. See Applications.
Who can use it by default: every member. The command lists only the applications that are open, and each form's own required roles, blacklisted roles and cooldown are checked when a member starts it.
/apply application:whitelist
#/clock in
Clock in to a department and start tracking your on-duty time.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
department | No | The department you are clocking in for. Autocomplete only offers departments you hold the member role for. Leave it out when you belong to exactly one; if you belong to several, FiveUnity lists them and asks you to pick. |
You are refused if the department system is switched off, the department is disabled, you do not hold its member role, or you already have a shift open. See Departments.
Who can use it by default: every member. Membership of the department is what gates it.
/clock in department:Police
#/clock out
Clock out of your current department shift and save the time.
No options; you can only have one shift open, so there is nothing to name. The reply shows when you clocked in, when you clocked out, and how long the shift ran.
Who can use it by default: every member.
/clock out
#/docs
Open this server's documentation on FiveUnity.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
search | No | A keyword to find a page by, up to 80 characters. Without it you get the space summary, its page count and a link; with it you get up to eight matching pages. |
Page counts and search results only include pages your roles are allowed to read. When nothing is published yet, administrators and site editors are pointed at the editor instead. See Documentation.
Who can use it by default: every member. Members see the pages your role permissions let them read.
/docs search:rules
#/gang
Run the roster of a gang you lead, see its members or leaders, or leave the gang you are in.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
add | n/a | Subcommand: add a member to your gang. |
add user | Yes | The user to add. |
add gang | No | Your gang, if you lead more than one. |
remove | n/a | Subcommand: remove a member from your gang. |
remove user | Yes | The user to remove. |
remove gang | No | Your gang, if you lead more than one. |
leave | n/a | Subcommand: leave the gang you are in. |
leave gang | No | The gang to leave, if you are somehow in more than one. |
leaders | n/a | Subcommand: show the leaders of a gang. |
leaders gang | No | Gang name. Leave it out to show the gangs you lead and their leaders. |
list | n/a | Subcommand: show the roster, strikes and leave cooldowns of one of your gangs. |
list gang | No | Your gang, if you lead more than one. |
add and remove only work on a gang you lead, and remove cannot be aimed at another leader of it: leadership is staff's to change with /gang-admin remove-leader. leaders can look up any gang by name.
list shows the whole picture of a gang you lead: every member with when they joined (leaders marked with a crown, the count against the server's member cap when one is set), the gang's strike history newest first, and the members this gang's own removals put on a leave cooldown and when they may rejoin. Like add and remove, it answers only for a gang you lead; leaders is the way to look up a gang you do not run.
leave is for members, not leaders: it asks you to confirm, then takes your faction role, drops you from the roster and starts the same leave cooldown a leader's /gang remove would. A leader cannot leave their own gang: staff step them down with /gang-admin remove-leader first. See Gangs.
Who can use it by default: every member. Whether you lead the gang is checked when the command runs.
/gang add user:@Newcomer
#/link
Link your streaming channels so the server is told when you go live.
| Subcommand | Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
add | platform | Yes | Twitch, YouTube, Kick or TikTok. Only the platforms this server watches are accepted. |
add | channel | Yes | Your account name or the full link, up to 200 characters: ninja, twitch.tv/ninja, @mrbeast, youtube.com/channel/UC..., kick.com/xqc, tiktok.com/@name. |
remove | platform | Yes | The platform to unlink. |
list | Takes no options. |
Every reply is private. You may link one account per platform, and an account may only be claimed by one member on a server: add for a platform you already linked replaces it rather than adding a second, and an account somebody else has claimed is refused. Going live is then posted in the server's go-live channel within about three minutes.
Who can use it by default: every member, but only members holding one of the server's content creator roles can actually link anything. Everyone else is told so privately, and list still works so you can see and unlink what you added before. If the module is off, no creator role has been chosen or no go-live channel is set, the command says which of those is missing. See Content creators.
/link add platform:Twitch channel:twitch.tv/ninja
#/streamstats
Streaming metrics for the server, counted automatically from the streams the content creator module announces.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
member | No | Show one member's totals across everything they have linked instead of the leaderboard. |
With no option the command shows a leaderboard of the last 30 days ranked by time live, with streams and peak viewers per creator. With member: it shows that member's streams, time live, viewer peak and average, and when they were last live, over all recorded history. Sessions are kept 90 days; the all-time stream count on the dashboard never falls.
Who can use it by default: every member. Every reply is private. When the content creator module is off, or nothing has been recorded yet, the command says so rather than showing an empty board. See Content creators.
/streamstats member:@Ninja
#/loa-request
Ask for a leave of absence.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
duration | Yes | How long you need, written as 12h, 3d or 2w. Anything from 1 minute to 365 days. |
reason | Yes | Why you need the time off, up to 500 characters. |
The request is posted to the serverโs leave review channel with Approve and Decline buttons, and you are DMed the outcome either way, with whatever note the decider left. If the server has set a leave role you are given it while you are away, and it comes off on its own when your leave ends. You can only have one request waiting at a time, and you cannot ask again while approved leave is still running. If nobody has set the review channel yet the command says so and nothing is filed. See Staff tools.
Who can use it by default: every member.
/loa-request duration:2w reason:University exams
#/myassets
Shows the custom assets and businesses registered to you on this server.
This command takes no options.
The reply is private and only ever lists what is registered to the member who ran it: their active assets with type and registration date, and their businesses with how long until the next weekly event is due (or how far overdue one is). If nothing is registered it says so and points at opening a ticket. If the server does not keep an ownership sheet, or the sheet cannot be read, the reply says that instead.
Who can use it by default: every member. It only ever shows the assets and businesses registered to the member who ran it.
/myassets
#/clock status
Shows everyone currently clocked in.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
department | No | Only show a single department. Leave it out for every department at once. |
The reply groups people by department and shows how long each has been on shift.
Who can use it by default: every member.
/clock status department:EMS
#/redeem
Redeem a FiveUnity subscription code for this server.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
code | Yes | The licence code you were issued. |
A code can only be redeemed once. If activation fails after the code is claimed, the code is released rather than burnt, so you can try again. This command keeps working when the server has no active plan, and it can never be turned off. See Plans and billing.
Who can use it by default: every member. The command itself then refuses anyone who is not the server owner or a Discord Administrator, so a member cannot spend a code you have not given them.
/redeem code:FU-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
#/rolerequest
Request a department role.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
role | Yes | The requestable role, chosen from autocomplete. Only roles staff have marked as requestable are offered. |
The request goes to staff to approve or deny. See Roles.
Who can use it by default: every member.
/rolerequest role:Police Cadet
#/subscription
Check the current server's FiveUnity subscription status.
No options. The reply shows the tier and when it expires, or says the server has no active subscription. Like /redeem, it keeps working without a plan and can never be turned off.
Who can use it by default: every member. It reports the plan; it cannot change it.
/subscription
#/suggest new
Submit a suggestion for the server.
| Option | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
suggestion | Yes | Your suggestion. |
The suggestion is posted to the configured suggestion channel with ๐ and ๐ reactions and, unless auto-threading is switched off, a discussion thread underneath. An admin has to turn suggestions on and pick the channel first. See /suggest setup on Admin and setup commands.
Who can use it by default: every member. The command refuses when the suggestion system is switched off for the server.
/suggest new suggestion:Add a second EMS station on the west side
