In-game commands from Discord

These are the Discord commands that reach into your running FiveM server. Most go through the bridge resource; bans, kicks by server ID and the live dashboard go through txAdmin instead.

Note

Where: Dashboard โ†’ Roleplay โ†’ FiveM ยท In Discord: the commands below

#Before they work

  • The bridge resource must be installed and running. See Install the bridge resource.
  • Integration must be on and Server IP set on the FiveM page.
  • A General FiveM log channel must be set. Every command that changes something writes an audit entry there first, and is refused if it cannot.
  • Commands that target a Discord user only find players who are online and have Discord linked in their FiveM identifiers.
  • Commands routed through txAdmin need txAdmin credentials saved.

Every command below replies privately to the person who ran it, except /dashboard. The permissions listed are the Discord defaults; you can change who may run each one on Dashboard โ†’ Server setup โ†’ Slash commands.

#Through the bridge

#/giveitem

Gives an item, cash or bank money to a linked player who is online.

OptionWhat it does
targetThe Discord user receiving it.
itemAn item name such as bread, or money / cash for cash and bank for bank balance.
amount1 to 10,000,000.

Needs Administrator. The bridge uses ox_inventory when it is started, otherwise your framework's own inventory. Repeating the same command is safe (the resource answers a repeated request once rather than granting twice) and only one grant per player runs at a time. Without a detected framework or ox_inventory you get "No supported framework detected, cannot give items".

#/fivem-weather

Sets the weather. type is picked from a list: EXTRASUNNY, CLEAR, NEUTRAL, SMOG, FOGGY, OVERCAST, CLOUDS, CLEARING, RAIN, THUNDER, SNOW, BLIZZARD, SNOWLIGHT, XMAS, HALLOWEEN. Needs Administrator.

Works through Renewed Weather Sync, cd_easytime, EasyTime, qb-weathersync or vSync, whichever the bridge has linked itself to first (see Install the bridge resource). The reply names the resource that took the change ("Weather set to RAIN via Renewed Weather Sync"), so you can see it landed rather than hoping.

With none of those resources started the bridge falls back to your server's own weather command, which reports nothing back and does nothing at all on most builds; the reply says so instead of claiming success. With vSync, its dynamic weather moves on again after 10 minutes unless you disable it.

Note

Bridge resource 2.3.0 fixed this command on servers running Renewed Weather Sync. Renewed publishes its writable API under the qb-weathersync name rather than its own, so earlier bridges called an export that does not exist and /fivem-weather and /fivem-time silently did nothing. Re-ship fivem-api-resource/ to fix it; nothing in server.cfg changes.

#/fivem-time

Sets the in-game clock. hour is required (0-23) and minute is optional (0-59, defaults to 0). Needs Administrator. Uses the same time resources as the weather command, and names the one that took the change in the same way.

#/fivem-heal

Heals a player. target accepts either a Discord ID or the player's in-game server ID. Needs Manage Messages.

Requires a medical stack: qbx_medical, wasabi_ambulance, qb-ambulancejob on Qbox or QBCore, or esx_ambulancejob on ESX. Without one you get "No supported medical/framework resource detected, cannot heal".

#/fivem-revive

Revives a downed player. Same target and permission as /fivem-heal, and the same medical requirements.

#/announce

Broadcasts a message into your server's chat as SYSTEM. message is required and needs Administrator. The bridge trims it to 256 characters and strips colour codes, so it always renders as plain text. It works on any server, framework or not.

#/fivem-clothing

Opens the clothing menu for an online player. target is a Discord user. Needs Manage Messages.

Requires illenium-appearance to be started; you get a "illenium-appearance is not started" error otherwise. It opens the normal clothing-shop menu the player would use in-game, with its usual pricing, not an unrestricted admin ped menu.

#/player-info

Looks up a linked player. user is a Discord user; no special permission by default.

The embed shows Server ID, Ping and Job read live from your server, plus Cash (last sync) and Bank (last sync) from the bot's stored copy, with the player's identifier in the footer. It is read-only, so it works even without a log channel set. If the player has never linked, you get "This user has not linked their FiveM account to the bot yet."

#/inventory

Lists an online player's inventory. target is a Discord user; no special permission by default. The embed lists each item's label and count, or says the inventory is empty. Reads from ox_inventory when started, otherwise from your framework.

#Through txAdmin

These do not touch the bridge resource at all, so they keep working if the bridge is down, and stop working if txAdmin credentials are missing.

#/fivem-ban

Bans a player permanently. Needs Ban Members.

OptionWhat it does
targetThe player's Discord ID (17-20 digits). In-game server IDs are rejected: use /kick-id for those.
reasonRequired, and stored with the ban record.

The player must have joined your server at least once so FiveUnity knows their identifiers; otherwise nothing is applied and no record is created. Every known identifier is banned, including their Discord one, so a reconnect from a new account does not get them back in. The reply shows how many identifiers were banned and a Ban ID for the record it created.

Warning

Bans need txAdmin. The bridge cannot ban: asked to, it would only disconnect the player, which does not survive a reconnect.

#/kick-id

Kicks a player by their in-game server ID. server_id and reason are both required. Needs Kick Members.

#/dashboard

Posts a live ๐Ÿ“Š Server Dashboard embed with the server status, player count and uptime, plus a Refresh button. Needs Administrator. This is the one command here that replies publicly. See txAdmin.
